Turmeric Paste

1 Cup Filtered Water

1/2 Cup Organic Turmeric

1/3 Cup Organic Coconut Oil (preferably unrefined to avoid hexane)

1 1/2 Teaspoons Organic Ceylon Cinnamon

1 1/2 Teaspoons Organic Ground Ginger

1 1/2 Teaspoons Freshly Ground Pepper

1/4 Cup Local Raw Honey

Place all of the ingredients (except the honey) in a small pan, on the lowest heat setting.  Mix thoroughly and continue to stir periodically.

Cook for 10-15 minutes, but if it starts to get too dry, take it off the heat and put a lid on it.

It should look like this when done.

Wait for it to cool for a little while and stir in the honey.

Make a well and add honey. Sorry about the glare!

Place in a glass dish with a lid and put it in the refrigerator.

We take this for pain…I take a small spoonful (like the spoons for tea) and my husband takes a full spoonful.  We take it 2-3 times a day as needed.
